IMD client story

learning by doing using engaging simulations

"The Prendo simulations have been created to be one generation further and one level of complexity deeper than the other simulations with which I'm familiar; as soon as the participants realize that the behaviour of the characters in the simulation is more realistic and more complicated than what they're expecting they engage at a deeper and deeper level so the learning comes not by only debriefing but really by the doing of the simulation."
Maury A. Peiperl
Professor of Leadership and Strategic Change, IMD

IMD (International Institute for Management Development) was established in 1990, as the successor of two previously independent business schools: IMI, founded in Geneva in 1946, and IMEDE, founded in Lausanne in 1957. IMD provides executive education for large- and medium-size international businesses, and for individuals. Every year, some 8,000 executives, representing over 98 nationalities, attend more than 20 open-enrollment Executive Development Programs (including intensive MBA and EMBA programs) as well as company-specific Partnership Programs. IMD’s 50 Faculty members, comprising some 20 nationalities, are recognized authorities in their fields.

IMD is ranked first in executive education outside the US and second worldwide (Financial Times, 2008-2011). IMD's MBA is ranked number one worldwide (Forbes, 2011) and number one outside the US (The Economist, 2011).

Since 2005, Prendo's Leading Change simulation and Managing Stakeholders simulations have been used on a wide variety of IMD's Partnership, MBA and EMBA Programs.
